Experiencing the American Dream

Experiencing the American Dream is setting several records for copies sold during its pre-order stage! There is a lot of excitement and interest stirring around this book; the principles and coaching that is offered within the 336 pages will have you restructuring and reevaluating many crucial aspects of your life.

As the Executive Team of Tencap Wealth Coaching has studied the book, our opinion and primary takeaways are this – Mark Matson wants each of us to prosper and thrive. Mark is committed to teaching and explaining an investment methodology that he believes really gives everyone an opportunity to participate in financial markets and benefit from the wealth creation that has come to investors thus far. Tencap asserts that having the Academic Board that Mark Matson has assembled is highly impressive. The academic research and study of financial markets, risk and diversification are all an enormous part of the investment methodology that Matson Money has assembled, and that Tencap subscribes to.

There is no substitute for reading the book and getting involved in this education and coaching. However, we will share a little about this movement – this training and development.

Experiencing the American Dream is really two things – it’s an actual 2-day seminar, first of all; and, “Experiencing the American Dream” is a screen to view the world through. As you begin to see the world through this screen, through this coaching, the world and your finances take on a whole new meaning and redefined understanding that will leave you feeling settled, confident and developed in your future.

How is Tencap Wealth Coaching so familiar with Mark Matson and The American Dream philosophy and curriculum? Our founder, Greg Black has been training with Mark Matson for over 10 years and has been intimately involved in leading the American Dream Experience, personally, for years. Furthermore, all Tencap Wealth Coaching advisors have been personally training with Mark Matson and his coaching team for years.

In the in-person training that Mark leads to financial advisors all over the country and in Mark Matson’s book, Experiencing the American Dream, Mark outlines many critical and high-level points. By reading Experiencing the American Dream, a reader can really get connected to Mark’s story; one can get connected to the dos and don’ts of how to invest and manage your money. A reader can get connected to some of Mark’s assertions about Wall Street bullies and flashy marketing campaigns that Mark suggests can destroy wealth and harm your American Dream.

One way to “Experience the American Dream” is a two-day seminar

Getting clear on your true purpose for money. Consider how many daily decisions we all make that revolve around money. Shouldn’t we be settled and clear about the plan and place money really plays in our lives?

This two-day educational experience is an opportunity to really get clear on a few things. What does Tencap hold out as possible during this seminar? After having thousands of people experience this seminar, here are some things we can confidently say most people get out of this experience:

Tencap speaks with hundreds of new people every year. At a certain point in the financial planning process, we ask each of our clients what their savings goal is? As they share what their goal is we often will drill into what their purpose for that much money is? Or to say that another way, we will ask what their true purpose for amassing money is? Often people have never thought about their true purpose for money. Most often we get answers like, “I don’t know what my true purpose for money is, I know I need money to survive or retire, so I’m just working and accumulating as much as I can.” As you hear that question, how would you answer it?

The goal is to really look deeper and get clear on what your true purpose for money is. You should be able to write down or state your true purpose for money in a couple of sentences. You can construct a paragraph or two if you wish, but it is best if you can boil it down to a couple of sentences. Can you see it, can you define it? Can you put words to it? Does it align with who you are? Does your purpose for money match with what you or your family are working hard to build/create?  Working on this exercise can be helpful in settling why you are working so hard, and what you actually want to accomplish with the wealth you are building! Without true purpose around your money, it’s rather hollow and unmeaningful. With purpose, your money and the decisions around your money become more important and personal.

While the seminar and book “Experiencing the American Dream” are full of high-level training and development around money and investing. We will cite a couple more examples of what one could expect to be coached on by reading the book or attending an American Dream seminar.

During the seminar you can count on The American Dream seminar walking you through many assertions backed by Nobel-prize winning research and fortified with PhD leading research. In fact, one of the most interesting and compelling things about the investment methodology that will be shared is how this investment philosophy is still backed, to this day, by a board of academic advisors that oversee the investment philosophy. How many portfolios can you name that can say they are backed by a board of academic advisors such as these?

During the seminar or by reading, Experiencing the American Dream, you can count on being educated and coached on things that we believe may thwart your capacity and likelihood of being a successful investor; ways you may be tempted to subject your money to highly volatile options that could lead to a significant amount of your hard-earned dollars being subjected to more risk than you ever intended or understood.

Experiencing the American Dream will also make many assertions about how to build and secure your wealth through academic investing. Mark coaches clearly and plainly on staying disciplined and being informed about ways to participate in financial markets as you look to build and secure your wealth. His philosophy leads in a way that can sustain you and your American Dream as an investor as you amass your wealth and as you spend down your wealth during retirement.

Experiencing the American Dream

I want to share a few of the takeaways my wife and I were left with after finishing the two-day American Dream seminar the first time, with Mark Matson and his team. One of our favorite parts of the seminar was the distinction that Mark calls “the no talk rule.”
